Mission Statement for the Junior Firefighter Program
The Whiting Fire Company Junior Program is dedicated to preparing the next generation of firefighters by instilling the values of service, discipline, and teamwork in young men and women ages 14-17. Through hands-on training, leadership development, and community engagement, we strive to equip our cadets with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for a future in the fire service.
Our mission is to foster a sense of responsibility, courage, and commitment to public safety, ensuring that each participant gains real-world experience while developing the character and confidence needed to serve their communities. By mentoring and educating young individuals, we aim to build a strong pipeline of future firefighters who are ready to answer the call when duty demands.
